Is your Property Buyer Ready?

1.     First Impressions Count.

Make sure the front of your property is clean and tidy. Borders weeded, grass cut, facia boards are clean and repainted if necessary.

2.     Declutter Interior

Removing as many unnecessary items as possible leaving kitchen counters, tables, window sills and shelves as sparse as possible can make a significant difference to property photographs and buyer perception when viewing.  Ideally place rarely used items away in cupboards or appropriate storage space.

3.     Clearly define all rooms and useable spaces

Sometimes rooms are used for multiple purposes to suit your needs. Try to clearly define all usable space helping buyers to visualise themselves living in your property.

4.     Clean and Inviting Carpets

Hire a DIY carpet cleaner or use a professional to make the most of your carpets, lifting the pile and removing any day-to-day wear.

5.     Brighten up all rooms.

One way to brighten up all rooms is with a fresh coat of Gloss Paint on all skirting boards and doors, clean any washable walls or touching up any blemishes with fresh paint can really make a difference to rooms looking fresh and vibrant.

6.     Deep Clean kitchens and bathrooms

Pay particular attention to cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms.  They should be bright and sparklingly clean.  Including Oven Hobs, surfaces, Sinks and bathroom suites. Clean all tiles, check if grouting needs attention and that all bath, sink, shower sealant is intact and mould free.

7.     Write your own Snag List

Walk through your property and make a list of any little jobs that you may have been meaning to do such as fixing loose cupboard doors or repair any fixtures and fittings.

8.     Let the Light Shine In

Clean all windows inside and out and clean all mirrors. Give the house a thorough dusting including ceilings and light fittings.

 9.     Outdoor Space

As with the front of the property the exterior should be tidy with cut grass, neat boarders and all woodwork washed and cleaned, or finished with a fresh coat of paint. Ideally any patios or seating areas should be inviting demonstrating how the space could be utilised.

10.  Finishing touches

Complete the look with fresh flowers or a light scent.
